Design Notes

The mCherry component in the GAL4WTV2 plasmid serves as a visual marker for successful gene expression through red fluorescence, confirming the activation of the GAL4/UAS (Upstream Activating Sequence) system. The P2A linker allows co-expression of mCherry and GAL4 from a single mRNA, ensuring both are produced.

The mCherry was amplified from the plasmid pTGL0126-LV007 vector-PM（Lyn）-mCherry, kindly provided by Prof Chew Tingang.
